Hello ED, I went to my Art group today however didn't do any art. Looked at art books for inspiration but mostly chatted. I may have confused you about my brothers and my nephew. They are doing a great job arranging things and I am happy not to be an extra wheel. That means Mum feels safe talking to me. I told them about her fears last night. My nephew instantly messaged me back saying that when he visits her today he will try to work out what she wants and promised me that he would not dob me in for speaking about her fears. He is a wonderful young man and loves Mum so much. He reassurred me that if Mum wants to stay there longer it most likely could be arranged. He will ask her what she wants and let me know. I think that my brothers were a bit surprised that the 2 week stay would end this coming Friday. Easter and all of their other family events distracted them. They do ask Mum what she wants but Mum never wants to cause trouble.  Just like when she was in hospital and medical staff would ask her how she was feeling.  Her usual reply was, "I'm fine." When she wasn't. We have all been coaching her to really say how it is for her. Enjoy your new day.

Morning splash--mallard ty. It is nice and sunny and -8 this morning but the big problem is the ground is all white. We got more snow overnight but don't think it will last too long--unless we get more and lo and behold it is really snowing at the moment. Kevin aparently made out alright yesterday but he was totally exhausted by the time he got home. Haven't heard yet how he slept but did say he has a sore stomach from all the coughing. But think he tamed the worst of it over the weekend. I have a bunch of jobs that need doing but question is which ones to start at!! Not to be picky but I rarely ate what my husband cooked--he seemed to dump everything in and hope for the best. Have a good day and good luck with the grocery   shopping.

Hello Ed, I hope that your friend Kev's return home improves. He is lucky that his wife accepted him back. I had a great day starting with my usual walk around the corner for coffee. A lot of my friends arrived there at the same time so we sat and chatted. Then I went and visited Mum. She told me that she is worried that she is not ready to leave the Respite Hospital on Friday. She wondered if she was being a wimp. That was not the word she used. I reassurred her she was not a wimp and should tell all of us how she feels / thinks. Mum hates offending anyone and will often hide wht she is really feeling. As my brothers and a nephew seem to be arranging things and I have not been consulted even though I am the oldest, she felt safe telling me. In many ways I am happy that I have not been consulted as Mum feels safe confiding in me. She never wants to offend the people who are trying to help her. If a family member gives her a piece of furniture that she really doesn't want or like she quietly tells me although accepts it. I pointed that out to her and she smiled saying "Dianne, you know me so well." Naturally all of the family love her and are trying to help. Sometimes they should ask the question, "Is this what you want?" Rather than deciding for her with all of the best intentions. I am now trying to set up a chat group with my brothers and nephew. Not sure how but asked my younger brother to do it. It would save numerous and missed phone calls. Now time for me to reheat my leftover dinner from last night. Enjoy your day.

Morning splash--Very chilly start to the week but sunny and -2. There was very little on sports wise yesterday that I could watch so ended up watching the end of golf-- it seemed like it really dragged and no one could quite catch Spaun. Just hope the Masters is a little more lively and they leave some of the commentators at home.Kevin I think managed to go to work this morning as last night he said he just had the cough but wasn't sure how long his energy would last. If your invited someplace for dinner then the conversation should be there afterwards but if your invited for some big sporting event then it would be the tv on.Have a good day enjoy your meander to town.
