Hi Lorna, sorry about the storms...I had plenty when I lived in NY (Staten Island) and NJ.  I live in Florida, central part on the ocean side.  I'm 8 miles from the Kennedy Space Center..they did a rocket launch 5 am this morning and we always hear it and sometimes my windows will rattle, depending on the launch pad they use.  I'm 40 minutes from NASA and I see the assembly building every time I have to anywhere.  You must be 5 or 6 hours ahead of me.   Stay safe and warm.  🙂

Glad im not the only one lol ..mine was like an open door ..we had to put something against it,just in case the dog got out ,,need to wait until the weather gets better ,,until someone comes out ,,that will be next year then…..   hope your sister is ok love ,.it would have been so nice for you to see your nephew!
