Good morning Linda, a pretty cold one here. My neighbour was scraping the ice off his windscreen when I got up. Apparently more very cold days and nights to come with the chance of snow! I remember the blackouts, my friends son was born by the light of a Tilley lamp! It was a home birth and he was 3 weeks early on 4th December 1973. Fortunately everything went well. The good/bad old days! Postage is shocking isn’t it? I hope your good deed doesn’t leave you too much out of pocket. Wouldn’t you think, if something’s for a charity, they would at least have a minimum charge but that is never going to happen. I remember when we had our post office, we had a stock of airmail letters for people who had sons/daughters in the forces. There was no charge for them and they were sent free. How times have changed. As for the rude p.o assistant she needs to be trained properly…why work with people if you can’t be civil. Well that’s it for now, hope it’s not as cold by you.
