Good morning Linda. Another hot one for us as well. We never reach a happy medium in this country do we? Saying that, I had a pretty decent sleep. Been up since 6.30. Had a leisurely breakfast reading yesterday’s paper than started ironing while it was still cool. All windows open and door into the garden as well. There’s not a breath of air out and you can only hear the birds. There are no children around by us….we’re all grandparents, so it’s very quiet.That’s the problem with moving, you never know who you’re going to get as neighbours. Abbie and Ash came yesterday with cards and a present for Steve. It was lovely to see them and we had such a good laugh. Abbie loves cooking and makes everything from scratch. She brought a beef stew up for Steve (I don’t eat red meat) who polished it off with relish for his tea. Saved me thinking of what to do.I stuck to a healthy chicken salad, although the beef stew looked very inviting 😂 I’ve no plans for today, might deadhead some flowers but might wait until after tea when the sun isn’t as strong.
