Good morning Carmen,I'm up and about very early this morning as Luke left for the train station a short while ago. My baby is off on his first solo flight, he's going to visit with Nayo in the Netherlands. How are you feeling? Are your blood sugars OK? Have you decided whether to visit Urgent Care? I'm sorry, that's a lot of questions when you may still only be on your first cup of magic but I'm a little worried about you! So. Drinking squash. I really have had a good giggle with that one this morning 🤣 I had no idea that the word wouldn't translate! Over here, squash is a term we use for a concentrated syrup that is mixed with water to make a fruit drink. It comes in lots (and lots and lots) of flavours with sugar-free versions, no artificial colours types as well.

I drink Orange, Orange and Pineapple, Apple and Blackcurrant and Summer Fruits but honestly the flavours and flavour combinations are endless! Google Robinsons, UK fruit squash (probably our most popular brand) and you'll get the idea. People generally drink it cold with still water but some add sparkling water. Also, it's not unusual for kids to drink Blackcurrant flavour (no clue why it's that flavour in-particular) as a hot drink in the winter months!! So we're not pulverising vegetables trying to drink them, it's just another one of those quirky word differences between the US and UK. It's another really, really cold start here but at least we have sun! I'm off for my shower. I do hope this note finds you feeling better my dear. Gentle hugs xx

You are still not feeling well? That's not good. Did you get to the Urgent Medical Clinic?
