You’re right it’s a totally different attitude today with some, but in our day you didn’t get benefits like you do now. Remember YTS no job you got £26 a week 😳. Mind you my first full time job was only £65 a week but it was more than I had working at the pub, my first wage I spent before I caught the bus home lol mum some flowers, a viz annual, T shirt from next and a zippy teddy bear from rainbow 🤣 still got the zippy and viz annual lol  good luck to your son, hope he makes a go of it, not a bad rate per hour if you think about it.  My daughter has been working since 16, at weekends or evenings while at college, good experience and I think it helped her get her the job she has now, plus she liked to spend on clothes in those days nowadays she’s saving for a house deposit.
I managed to carry on working for another 10 years after getting RA but it was so hard, and it was making it worse, in the end I had to give up, but I miss the laughs with friends and of course the money 🤣
September in Cyprus is perfect Kim, that’s when we usually go, still hot but not crazy hot it will be amazing for the wedding 🥰
