Hello Jan ~ thanks for the blue jay. Here, the heat continues... I'm used to living in the gloom now. If the sun gets into the building it's unbearable... My friends in Beckenham have fantastic shutters for their house with modern sash double glazed windows. The shutters are fitted inside, in the English way, and the shutters have a locking mechanism so you can have the windows open with the shutters closed. It's a really neat arrangement! I like shutters a lot. I miss having them here but can't get the husband interested in replacing the missing ones xx
