Good afternoon Jan, I hope you're having a relaxing afternoon after tackling your pile of ironing (I pay mum to do mine!)? It's absolutely falling down here, it has been since the early hours and shows no signs of stopping. Luke's not exactly loving his job but he's not hating it either so I'll take that! His actually almost bursting with excitement as he received a second salary slip yesterday with a tax rebate of over £700! As he's only worked for them since December and only had two weeks on emergency tax that cane to nowhere even close to that, I've persuaded him to put the money into his savings account until he speaks to someone from Payroll and makes sure he's entitled to it. He's going to Germany in March to a Comic Con type thing with his friend from the

Netherlands and that would fund the trip. He's got an online HRMC account so I'll get him to have a look at that too. But fingers crossed the pennies are his🤞Funny you should say that, one of mum's friends has just been told that she's pre-diabetic and was informed by her doctor that because of "the" backlog, they're only just getting to patients from two years ago, whose test results showed them as pre-diabetic. I went onto the NHS app and guess what? 2024, 2025 and now 2026, all show me as pre-diabetic with my readings going up from 41 to 43 (48 is diabetic). I was fuming! But, like your hubby and daughter, I'm going to do it myself (looks like I don't have any choice anyway!!) Dad's an insulin dependent diabetic, his brother has diabetes and both my nan's were diabetic so

it maynot matter what I try, it could be inevitable for me, but try I will. I'm going to do my knitting in a bit and watch some more JBO. Big hugs lovely lady xx
