Soon decorations
of every hue will
garland apartments
and houses too
They'll be bright lights outside
Maybe a Christmas tree.
they'll bring a happy smile to
you & to me
Special foods will be cooked
and gifts will be bought
Children's faces light up
at the very thought
Maybe it is Santa
or a dreidel will be spun
all the fun of holidays
the children will enjoy
no worries they do have
whilst the adults start to think
is this present right or wrong
will the holiday meal turn out
well or be inedible
wrapping presents with ribbons
and with bows
and maybe if you're lucky
there may be snow
the children's eyes will sparkle
as a snowman they do build
Hands cold and nose's red
they still stay out to play
I'll be glad when it's over
it's to commercialised for me
But I must admit it's lovely
to see the family
So, enjoy the festive meals
gifts and the camaraderie
I'm off to order presents
to put under my butterfly tree

Hello dear Susie, having a mix of a day, some cleaning, Fairyland, laundry and maybe writing. Saints are playing now, it is the only football I watch.
Bessie is asleep on the couch next to me, one of her spots  :)

Good evening Susie I hope you have had a good Sunday.  Christmas is for everyone not just for babies and children, we give each other gifts as it is Jesus's birthday and to thank him for the gift of his life. Yes a lot of people have lost the true meaning of Christmas and over spend on food etc. for Christians it gives us hope. It is the Third Sunday of Advent today, Gaudete Sunday this means rejoice, one more Sunday to go and then Christmas. I will be at 10pm Mass this used to be Midnight, we start with Carols and then a Mass it is beautiful. No offence taken that you should ask my dear.  Take care and Happy Hanukkah to you. Having a lazy morning and sipping hot tea.  Put on the Hallmark channel and watching holiday movies.  There's a cold front passing thru and our temperatures are to drop below freezing with wind chills in the negative range.  I had hubby cover my orange tree and lemon tree but I don't have much hope as last anuary we had 9.2 inches of snow here...blizzard but oh my goodness it was very beautiful and it was completely gone in less than 4 days.  But I took lots of photos  : ))
Having a dilemma about what to make for dinner.  Had soup the last 2 nights (made a big pot of my Momma's chicken corn soup~yummy) but want some beef or pork tonight.  Hmmm....decisions decisions  LOL!   So tonight is the lighting of the Menorah ~ Happy First Day of Hannakuah, Sweetheart!  Best get my returns done so I can take a nap in a bit.  Was up late last night watching the meteor shower....we saw lots in the short time we were outside.....I like doing things like that, then was up early to catch my Son's forecast 6am, so a nap is necessary, for sure.  I love ya, Hunni-Bunni and send oodles of hugs  xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox
