It rained again last night and I'd put down a plastic sheet and would you believe nothing. I know it was torrential rain we had Sunday but we don't get that often, so all I can do is wait.
I've been sorting books from the big shelf unit in there. I've taken about 100 to one charity shop 50 plus to another, 25 to my nieces and great nephews and 40 or so to the nuns. OMG that's over 200 and I've got that many or more to sort. I have 50 in a box on the table and 30 or so in the car which I intend to take to the local supermarket where they sell them for charity. I can't take them all to one shop or I'd get barred. lol I know if I put them back on the shelves they'll stay there until I die so it's now or never.
As for your pesky rat, can you buy a 'killer' trap, I have one I bought on line but the spring is so strong I can't set it therefore I use the poison option. Be careful of the cabbage, wash any you use really well, I have one word about that Leptospirosis. I worked in the local environmental offices for a while so know enough to be very cautious.
