We had a bad winter storm yesterday with terribly high winds and heavy snowfall.  Today I will dig out.  The worst of shoveling is the compacted snow at the end of the driveway that the snow plow left.
Because of the bad snow storm my daughter and grandchildren were unable to travel to my house for our family festive meal.  It was disappointing but I'm glad they chose to be safe.  My brother, who lives in town, came over for the turkey dinner so that was nice.  We had lots of food and a good visit.
