Glad your grandfather was alright. That’s pretty scary. We send all yard waste to compost. I’ve forgotten what your supposed to do with the poisonous ones? I don’t think they’re supposed to go in the compost. My husband has dubbed Tuesday as Operation Poison Ivy. Hope it’s not too hot. Have a goodnight x

I have already gotten a touch of it. A touch of a leaf unfortunately is all you need. Still have a mark on my arm but at least the itching has stopped. This is the second time. The first time I had no idea it was in the garden, oops. I was clearing weeds and never had issues in the garden all these years. I’ve looked up how to remove it and have proper coveralls. I would never burn leaves in general and I know it’s too toxic to burn. In my area I think it’s illegal to burn yard debris because of the proximity to other houses.
