Hi Theresa, it's been very dry and hot here also. Today it is much cooler but the air quality is very bad from forest fires in Manitoba and possibly Saskatchewan. 
I haven't been doing much, spending time in the air conditioning because it's too hot to be outside. 
Take care and pop by when you can xx
