I can’t get over how alike we are. I love trees as well. We have a lot of cedar in our yard, and we planted a red pine the year we got the house. I’m not sure if you are familiar with them, but they grow huge, they and white pine are the kings of the forests here. When we got it, it was the height of my knee, 6 years later, and it’s at least 16 feet tall, likely taller, way over my head. One of our neighbors have these monster maples in their back yard, much of them are on our side, but we don’t mind, they give shelter from the sun in the summer. Brian enjoys raking the leaves  this time of year, he mulches them with the lawn mower, a hell of a lot better than putting in bags like we did our first year here. We got 159 bags, and those bags are huge, mulching is the way to go, much less painful on the back, I hate bending over and over, cause nothing on my body works like it used to, lol. I would have killed any neighbor that would cut any of our trees down here. You can’t by law. You can trim neighbors trees if they are on your property, but you are not permitted to trim any that is on their property. The nerve of your neighbor, omg, I’d be fit to be tied, lol.
I took some pics today of the tamarack trees, but I wish I had taken the walk I did today a few days ago, would have captured much better shots. We’ve had quite a few mornings of heavy frost, that quickened the Fall colours. There are still some trees in full colour, but most are naked.
I’m way behind on returns tonight, kept putting it off 🤦‍♀️, paying for it now. So, on that note, I bid you good night Yvonne  😘
