I ended up sleeping on the couch, when I opened the bedroom door to let Nikki in to cool off, Brian was in the middle of the bed 🙄, next time I checked Nikki had 75% of the bed, I may have chuckled a bit 🤭, and I knew the couch was my most comfortable bet. It was at least 15 degrees warmer upstairs, unable to open windows because of the smoke was brutal! And, of course being on the couch, I couldn’t sleep. A couple of hours of tossing and turning, I decided to watch a movie, that always puts me to sleep. I just fall asleep, and I feel this wet cold nose in my face, then a big lick, and no it wasn’t Brian, I would have punched him had he done that to me when I’m asleep 😂, but what did I do to Nikki, I hugged her 😍, one would almost think I like her more 🤭. It’s crazy how much we forgive our dogs, but would sucker punch a person if they did the same thing, lol. Found out when Brian got up, that he didn’t let her out, and I didn’t let her out, so that meant Miss Nikki opened the door herself, that’s the first time she opened any other door than the hallway. I wondered why Brian left the door open, ha. She cannot sleep without me, even if it means she pants all night instead of being nice and cool with dad.
