Tomorrow our thaw starts 😃! The city has been removing snow like crazy, I’m so impressed on what they have gotten done. Monday, they’re calling for 8 and sun 💃. But the following week isn’t spectacular 🙈, the first part of April is pretty much what we should have gotten in March. So, looks like we are a month behind. You will laugh, but the last sunny day here, we saw two people in shorts and tshirts, idiots, here Brian and I were all bundled up, and not warm, lol. It was -9 and windy, whoever they were must have rocks for brains, they were men, so can’t blame it on hot flashes 🤭. Today was the first day this winter that I didn’t use my cleats. Once we start melting, the ice will be back though, next week, dropping back down to -15 at night, that is so below regular temps.
I don’t hate the winter like I did when I worked though. Being retired, we do the driveway when we feel like it. Unlike when we worked, we’d have to shovel first thing. And I always found our biggest storms hit when Brian was working nights, so it would be me having to clear the driveway, not fun doing that when it’s still dark out, 7 am in the winter, it’s dark. Plus no need to clean car off, or drive to work when it’s 40 below. Working in the winter sucks! Being retired, way better 😊.
