It got up to 39 today 😵‍💫! I went shopping and practically melted. The town looked like a ghost town, even the beaches weren’t busy, I think everyone is hiding in their houses. It’s 7:31pm and it’s 31.7 still outside, no sweater for our evening walk today 🙈. The lawns here are yellow, unless they’ve been watered like crazy, you’re hard pressed to find green. The grass crunches when you walk on it. The mosquitoes are not near as npbad as other years, too bad we can’t enjoy that. The only good thing is, we don’t have to cut the grass, cause without rain, nothing is growing. There are quite a few forest fires burning, but thankfully no where near us, and no smoke, another bonus. Because if people couldn’t open their windows at night, it’ll get scary quickly.
I just went outside with Nikki, definitely no walk this evening, not unless the temp drops drastically. I haven’t been putting food out for the birds, not since that night when 2 of those bears showed up, but I do keep putting fresh water out for the birds. I have to refill every couple of hours, crazy!
Hope you have a great Tuesday. I’m in the air conditioner in Brian’s room, with Nikki, trying to cool her down from being out in that heat for 5 minutes, like I said crazy! xo

splashed--Yes my nurse is very pregnant and will be having a baby in 6 weeks--she says she is just taking 6 months off and will be back in the new year--will wait and see. This seems to happen to me --just get a good one and either they move or h ave a baby.I did wish her and easy labour,a healthy baby and yes hurry back. We did fine with the heat today but I guess starting tonight we will be in a short super heat spell and the thermometer hitting 40--guess what I am going to do--your right--stay in with the a/c going when I can. But it will break Wed. I really like summer but this is getting to be too much, Have a good night.
