Hi Helen good afternoon sprinkle . Oh yes I remember that Winter 81/82 . I had to walk to work from Redhill over to our MEB offices next to Sun Valley. It was -19c and I was so so cold when I got to the office . When the Boss realised how far I and a colleague had walked he insisted that we left in daylight to get home in the daylight. Then if there were any Linesman with their Landrovers free then they were sent to collect us in the morning and then get us both home . I remember the river Wye freezing over from the Rowing club down the Old  Bridge too !
The schools shut due to the roads and also teaching staff living so far away . The last time our school shut was 2018 and that was there was no safe access to school by car or foot as we had had so much snow . This weekend storm Bert is going to arrive Saturday morning the temp is going to be 5c and by the afternoon 15c ! Yes it would be nice to have a white Christmas.
Glad you got some pots for your garden and had lunch too with the neighbours, that was nice and having a catch up . What are you going to plant ? XXX

Tweeny watered the Forest Ruby, and spotted a Field Mouse feeding on the Tropical Fruits!
