(¸☆´ (¸.☼´´¯`•.¸¸.❉...⭐ Well, Caroline, that sounds like quite the dilemma.  I would worry about having golf balls in the yard as well.  Kind of like here, there is a cute dog park with benches but no one seems to avail themselves of it.  Maybe the netting will be too much trouble & your neighbor will lose interest 🫤  On that hopeful note I bid you a good night :)
