I purchased some Tonka Beans when
I visited Marie Laveau's house of
Voodoo that were interesting . . .
I may still have a bean or two in my
junk drawer ~ Interesting place!
I LOVED the food while I was there,
but want to back for the Zydeco music
~ I did have crawdads and TONS of
gumbo and seafood ~ My favorite
dish from there is Jambalaya and I've
made a few pots myself  ~ I have a
recipe for a 'one pot wonder' that
calls for rice, sausage, chicken and
shrimp, the trinity (carrots, celery
and peppers) and spices ~ Though
I have inherited Mom's heartburn,
the tablets that I take each evening
help with that ~ Yes, I'm sure Mom
slept on her arm wrong and hope
that you are right (that the pain
lessened as she moved about
through the day) ~ Good choice!
I might have passed up the Yorkshire
pudding in favor of the Trifle, too!
