Hello Pat, like you I have a very low vitamin D count. I have been taking Vit D pills for awhile now and just recently the Health Shop that I purchase them from told me I can take more than the suggested dosage. I will have a blood test next week before a doctors appointment so it will be intersesting. My previous doctor told me that he also has a low Vit. D count because we are all worried about skin cancer and cover up rather than getting the Vit. D from the sun. So important for bone strength. Another thing that I found out some time ago is that our pets also need Vit. D. That is why cats like to bask in the sun. Whenever my cats have to be inside during the day whilst I am out I always see them sitting near a window that has the sun coming in. I hope that yiour doctors reccommended Vit. D supplements. Hugs.
