Hi Cath,  thanks for the good wishes on my swimming lesson- I need them!!!!!  I'm off to that in about 30 minutes.  There were big storms and high winds Sunday night and again Monday night.  Unfortunately I did have damage.  The ash tree in the front yard (25 years old) had two large limbs snap and they are hanging on by a thread so to speak.  If they do fall, I think they will fall on the driveway.  I was able to get my tree service to come out and look at it, they decided it was a high priority and will get me worked in tomorrow afternoon.  I also got water in the downstairs bedroom, there is some standing water outside around the foundation where water got in   :(    Called multiple places this AM and a week from this coming Thursday is the first appointment available, I pray no more rain!  But there is rain in the forecast nearly every day.   :(  Not sure if there is a problem with the foundation or if the sump pump, which does definitely work, needs to be upgraded or replaced.  It sure could have been worse though. I did not lose power but over 10,000 people did, my best friend, who lives about 1.5 miles from my house, she had no electricity all night.  Although maybe I'd rath

Good Morning Cath, yes we got the new bedding done. The new pillows were great much less tossing and turning trying to get comfortable. I only needed one as well so thats a bonus. L was still too warm last night even though l bought a lighter tog duvet. So l reckon l am still hot flashing...and at my age too lol. . Yes l will buy more of the Chicken crowns , cheap enough to have mid week and healthy too.
Sounds like you had a lovely time at the river, seeing different species of birds too, its interesting. I had a couple of birds visit the garden yesterday looking for grubs etc. a Sparrow and a Wren not seen one in my garden for a long while. While watching birds at home l didnt realise there were so many different types of Sparrow. Now they and the Magpies come to my Patio wall searching for food and water , l can see them clearly it lovely 😊. Have a lovely day xxx
