You sound just like me there always seems to be something that needs doing. I'm having problems with my free view TV which the government charges us almost $240 a year licence fee, there's not much chance of not paying even if you watch satellite channels as I do. Today I looked up how much it is and was amazed to see even if you're blind and have a TV you still have to pay half. The only way out is to take down the aerial. I'm thinking of having someone from an aerial installation place check to see if it's something to do with my set or aerial that I'm not receiving programs. Occasionally it works so I think it's their problem not mine but before I complain I need to get everything checked. I may give them a call on Tuesday too. Well I might as well get it all sorted out at the same time. The aerial man, the gas bard man and the man fixing the double glazing seals could all come at the same time and it would be finished with.

I'm pretty sure that Alan is on holiday, his 'friend' Kath who he's doing all the work for has been here all day and as her car is still here all night too....

Hi Janet, I've had a very lazy day, my friend Sheila phoned this morning, I think she's missing having her son at home, he went off on Holiday last Tuesday. As I was with her yesterday you'd think there was not much to say but she was on the phone for over 2 hours....

I've finished the puzzle Maggie and I were working on but haven't taken a picture yet, I'll do it tomorrow. I did do lots of washing and as it was a very good drying day I put it on my line. It's been much warmer as the wind has gone round to the south, about 70 which is just as I like it.

I'll have to get in touch with the gas board again, the boiler is leaking. I noticed that the pipe cover Alan had made had a black mark on the bottom and when I moved it found it wet underneath the boiler. I'm sure it wasn't like that at the start and wonder if it began when the man came and tested the heating. Anyway it's not awful but I want it fixed so as it's a bank holiday on Monday and not urgent I'll won't phone them until Tuesday.
