I went out this morning to get a calendar for my friend Sheila, last night she realised she'd not bought one and as she no longer drives it's difficult for her to get such a thing. I also found some half price Christmas cards for Maggie who couldn't find any where she lives.

I'm almost certain Pippa won't be coming tomorrow unless the forecast is wrong, she'd be crazy. I'm not sure what her husband does so maybe she needs the money which would explain the need to work when the weather is dreadful.

I'm going to get ready for bed and catch up with some TV and do some of the puzzle.

I looked up your 'cream of wheat', it sounds like a refined version of our porridge, I'd like it! It's made me think I could have some for my breakfast tomorrow.

Hi Janet, you've had your storm and we're waiting for ours. It's already hit further south with winds of 85 miles per hour and we should get it anytime now with either snow, hail, sleet or rain with it, they don't seem to know. Today just 17 miles up the coast they've removed people from their homes as they think the cliff will collapse and their houses will fall in to the sea. A week ago they lost 3 metres of cliff top and tonight they're saying another 5 metres could fall in to the water. Three weeks ago they demolished several houses on the cliff edge as they were unsafe. I feel so sorry for those people who have no idea where they're going to live and if their homes will still be there tomorrow morning. I might live close to the sea but it will be many years and 4 rows of houses and a football field before the sea reaches me.
