The shop situation is sad here too, half the stores in the town centre have closed. I suppose they can't compete with 'on line'. Personally I like to see what I'm buying from shoes to electrical goods but I wonder how much longer the ones that are left will survive. I've heard we will be losing our Marks and Spencers in about a year when their lease on the store runs out, It's been here all my life so it will be sad when it goes.

On my way home I stopped at the charity shop and only bought 2 puzzles, a wasjig and a HOP. One was in a heap so high I had to ask another customer to reach it for me, he was well over 6 foot which was very handy and he was so sweet and asked if he could get any more down, I thought 2 were enough.LOLOL

Tomorrow will be busy, I have the hall first thing then to Sheila's, where the twins should be visiting. I'll then stop by aunties but I won't be able to stay too late as I'm going to the theatre with Gwen at 6:30 and will need to have something to eat before that.

I still want to get some plants for the front garden where the fuchsias were but am thinking that may be a job for Sunday.

Hi Janet, it's been a lovely sunny day, Tommy is in his element. He was waiting for his breakfast again although I wasn't as late as yesterday. I can't believe how many small tomatoes he eats, I've put out 10 today and they've gone. He does eat some of the green stuff but mostly he walks over it to get to the tomatoes! I'm going to miss him when he finally goes.

I went to Sam's and it was much warmer there 71, that's because it's away from the coast. I did enquire if she still wasn't interested in taking on another tortoise but she said once was enough. It was good to see her little dog was OK, he'd been attacked by a large dog 3 weeks ago and she'd been so worried he might have internal injuries. Fortunately it was a case of bruising and a couple of puncture wounds, he was so very lucky that both Sam and the other owner were close enough to separate them.

Scooty In The Valley Of Scooterville watered the Pink Cap Mushroom, and spotted a Water Dragon feeding on the Tropical Fruits!
