I'll need to get some perennials, I'm thinking something like dahlias, I'll have a wander around one of the garden centres to give me more ideas.

Tommy is still at the top of the bank, I wouldn't let Alan strim around the trees as he likes to hide in the long grass....Tommy not Alan. LOLOL I'd love to have Louise back she was a great gardener and so tidy.

I did a couple of loads of laundry which line dried nicely but I skipped doing my grocery shop as it was afternoon by the time Alan left and I'd cleared up after him, I'll do it tomorrow. I did cut the grass and pulled a few weeds in the back and took a large parcel in for Daryn which the postman was about to leave with. I dropped it round later when he finished work. We both seem to take care of our neighbours post, Daryn is always pleased, I hope Nick is grateful.

Hi Janet, OMG I didn't know what a camel spider was like so googled him, yikes I wouldn't want to meet him, the biggest we get here are the giant house spiders [2-3 inches]. Fortunately they don't come in too often and when they do I gather them up in a huge duster and throw them out in the garden. I never kill spiders as they eat the flies.

Alan arrived only a little late and I asked him to dig up a sycamore tree which had self seeded in my garden. No, that would be too easy he just pulled and it snapped off and now I'll have to wait for it to grow up again. I then set him to work taking up the fuchsias, which he was happy to do, he also strimmed most of the edge of the grass. When he went he left my front garden looking a bit like the Somme battle field. He never clears up after himself. I spent about 40 minutes picking up and removing bits of fuchsia, weeds and some dead stuff from the garden. I filled 2 large buckets full of rubbish. As he left I told him I'd leave it for him to sort out next time, only no way could I leave that mess.
