My neighbour Sue came to see me this afternoon, she's having problems with her hip and her doctor had been so dismissive that her husband has said he'll pay for her to have a replacement. She also said they would be away at the end of the month and would I keep an eye on their bungalow and see that their rubbish bins get put out for collection.

It was interesting you should mentioned finding someone else, I'd thought about asking Dawn who does her garden but have to admit I'd feel bad about telling Alan not to come and he just turns up and I'd not know what to say.

Tomorrow I will need to do a bit of shopping, I did go out today to get some milk but was not really in to it so posted a birthday card to my cousin Judith and came home. I finished the second puzzle and am looking at one with several cats on it. I think it came from the church hall so I'm wondering if it's complete, so many from there have pieces missing.

Hi Janet, the film of the fire looks a bit concerning, have they got it under control? I hope it's not too close to you.

It's been a nasty drizzly day, not really cold in fact it got to 60 but it was just very wet! Tommy didn't like it at all and hid under a big grassy plant, he did have a little food when the sun came out late this afternoon. Tomorrow it should be up to 65 which he'll like a lot more and after that it could be 71 by the weekend. Unfortunately he'll be gone by then. Dawn sent me a message this afternoon to say she'll be flying back from Scotland tomorrow morning and will have a chat with the gardener and Wyn, Tommy's mum. Dawn thinks her gardener will take him and she wants to arrange it before he goes back. I don't mind how long he stays, I'm getting used to him at the top of the bank it's almost like having Tank back again, he loved the same spot and spent ages there. I think it's because it's shaded from the wind and when the sun shines it lasts longer there, later in the day because it's slightly higher.

Hello Janet. Layne’s birthday party is tonight at Fun City Trampoline Park. It’s from 5:30-7:30. Liam had his party there as well back in March. I FaceTimed Layne this morning before school to wish her a happy birthday. The kids wanted to see the new table and bench, which they are very excited about. They haven’t been over since we got it. Layne's class and the other kindergarten classes at her school got a visit from one of our local meteorologists and the had a video of them taken and put on the morning news. I taped it for her and sent it to Heather so she could see herself front and center… lol. We broke a record yesterday. The record was 90 degrees and we hit 91. It’s 81 degrees now at 1 pm and very humid. Tomorrow and the rest of the week are going to be much cooler with rain for the weekend. I think of Fairyland every time I see your prickly pear cactus!!💜
