I'm curious if Randy has an elephant toy what happened to the chicken or should I not ask or just let my imagination run riot. lol

We do get fireworks but it's usually near November the 5th, the anniversary of when Guy Fawkes tried to blow up parliament. We also get them at the New Year and occasionally someone will have a birthday and let off a few. When I was small on 5th November everyone let off fireworks in their gardens but now they tend to have displays at a local school or Pleasurewood Hills theme park, which is on the edge of town, much safer and probably cheaper than buying your own. I was never fond of them I only liked the sparklers!

For some reason I couldn't get to sleep last night but managed to sleep this morning until nearly half past 8. Its almost midnight so I'd best be making tracks or Alan will be meeting me in my Pjs. lol

Hi Janet, it's been another warm one but not quite as bad as yesterday we were 72 with 95 % humidity still very sticky.  Because it was a bit cloudy this morning I cleared most of the conservatory except for the large pieces of furniture. When Alan comes tomorrow he's going to wonder what I've been up to, well that is if he comes. I do hope so as the weeds are getting huge and it's taking all my self control to leave them alone. I'm hoping he'll do the shed roof sometime soon, this dry weather won't last for ever.

I went to see Lorraine, who lives down the road as its her birthday today. We got to know each other when we both worked at the council. Strangely we didn't work in the same building and only got friendly when we were retiring at the same time and they sent us on 2 day retirees information class. I'm still wondering what that was all about, still we enjoyed not being at work and 2 days of free food and beverages went down well. lol

Spotted a Summer Field Mouse, thanks :)

Good to hear the computer is up and working again. It's annoying when appliances fail. My microwave turns on by itself so I have to have it switched off at the wall. Plus I can no longer use the crisper/browner in it as the element sizzles and bangs. So I have to replace it at some point too :-(

…no summer critters today, only Gazelle’s and red worms….

OMG that is such a sad story about that woman. You always go into surgery thinking everything will be okay. I will not grumble about my minor set backs from now on!!
