I managed to get to the library this afternoon only to find they now close Monday afternoons so I'll go back again tomorrow. I also did a little shopping but was not in the mode as I wanted to sort the conservatory. Unfortunately the wet carpet has put me off so, naughty naughty, I started a new puzzle called Village Wedding. It's one Tessa gave me for my birthday last year.

Tomorrow I need to change the bed, I probably should have done it today but one day here or there  won't make much difference.

The Texas flooding is all over our news too, those poor people it doesn't bear thinking about. How comes there were no warnings, I suppose it all happened so quickly.

Hi Janet, it's been a dry day but only in the high 60s with 61% humidity. It's probably as well as the carpet in the conservatory is wet! I think I said how hard it rained yesterday, well I'm not sure if the water came through the door, which is unlikely, or through the new roof. I phoned them this morning and said I understand how hard it is to find a leak as water runs, in this case down one of the joints in the ceiling. He was grateful that I did understand how hard it is to trace a leak. They reckon we may get a shower tonight then no more rain for couple of weeks or more.  The ceiling company is hoping I can take a pic, I'm hoping it will rain!
