❤   thank you for your visit!  ツ  We did get 'hit' by the bomb cyclone and thankfully, we were very lucky not to lose power.  My sister in law (brother Jim's widow) has lost power for 5 days!)  She lives on a small island just off Vancouver Island.  She has just sold her house and is happy to be getting off the island.  It's a lovely little island with a host of amenities but it is still an island so you need need to ferry on and off - unless, you have your own boat!  How are you doing?  How did the appointment go for your stitches?

I got the Christmas cards out as I wanted to send one 'abroad'. I hope you get it OK, I got the stamps from the little corner shop not far from me [he insisted there were enough] and I posted it yesterday in the middle of a little country village just outside the restaurant. If the parcel should arrive between the 3rd and the 6th [see messenger] that should follow on quite quickly.

Tomorrow I'm going to get a small steam cleaner for spots on my carpet, it's on a special half price offer tomorrow so it should be worth making the effort.

I'm been watching Strictly come Dancing followed by a programme about the Tower of London, not a place I've visited. Well I was outside but we didn't have time to go in and see the crown jewels! Never mind I don't think they'd have let me borrow any!

Hi Janet, it's been a very very wet day. I did go to the hall to drop off a prize for the tombola which is next Saturday. I then went to s Sheila and spent several hours drinking tea and having lunch. By the time I got home it was almost dark, sunset was at 3:48. I was a bit miffed when I got home to find my newspaper had not been delivered and the newsagent was shut. I like a Saturday paper as we get a weekly TV guide in it. I went to the store and they too had no newspapers and said there had been a bad accident near London and they had not been delivered to any shop in the town. I'm wondering if they will enclose it tomorrow, but I doubt it.

When I read what happened to Jerry it reminded me of Maggie's husband, Randal. His mum was in hospital and they phoned him to say she OK and to come and get her. When he arrived he found her sitting in a chair next to her bed dead. I didn't get all the post just as far as they said your step-dad had flu......
