I had lunch, a big ham salad, and this afternoon decided to do some of the puzzle, it's too warm to be doing much else. I phoned my friend Sheila to tell her the lottery ticket I bought had paid us $1.33, that's one whole British pound, when she stopped laughing she said the one she bought didn't win anything. Each week we each buy a ticket in the hope one of us will win, the most we've ever had is $175, it's usually $40 but never as little as $1.33 it doesn't even cover the cost of the ticket. I guess we're not destined to be living in a mansion or having a private yacht. Haha.

Best get myself off to bed to get my beauty sleep.

Hi Janet, OMG how do you cope with 104, I nearly melt at 70!, it's been 69 here and that's quite hot enough. Not much I can do about it as it will be 74 tomorrow and 80 on Saturday.

This morning I cleaned the bathroom, then dusted through and vacuumed the floors. Tomorrow I'm picking up Sue, the nun, and will bring her over to Lowestoft. We'll get lunch somewhere then visit as many charity shops as she wants, usually about 4 or 5. If it's really too hot I'll suggest we come back to mine and have ice cream.

I phoned the dentist to arrange an appointment to have my teeth cleaned and polished and asked her what was the name of my new dentist. Apparently he spells it Roshan so at least I'll know when I next have to call for an appointment.
