I just checked my step counter and see I've only done 6061. My excuse, I spent an hour sitting and talking with Ness and almost 4 hours sitting at Sheila's, no wonder I've not walked far. On an average I do something like 7500 but that can rise to 11000 or drop to 5000 it just depends on what I'm doing.

Tomorrow I'm going to see Sue, the nun. She phoned last night to make arrangements for us to go out later in the month and I mentioned I had a lot books that I'd put aside for her and any one else who happens to be staying with them. I said I could make a journey out there Sunday if it was convenient and she thought it a great idea for me to go for a couple of hours tomorrow afternoon. I'm more than happy as it means I can say goodbye to the last of the books I no longer want.

I hope the insurance pay out for Don's tyre and you don't need to wait too long. Last night after I'd finished in FL I was reading my emails and found one from the Gas board demanding $80 for the man who came earlier this week. I phoned as soon as they opened this morning and pointed out I had warranty cover for the next 5 years, she was so apologetic but I felt there are most likely some elderly people who would just have paid. I told her I want an email to say it has been cancelled not just her telling me over the phone, I don't trust these people!

I'm in your camp when it comes to presents, I figure money is always acceptable. I'm going to a wedding on Wednesday and the couple already have a lovely home together so they hardly need 'things' like I did when I got married. I'll give them a cheque and they can spend it on their honeymoon.

Hi Janet, we only reached the mid 60's today and tonight storm Floris is moving in, well at least it will fill my water butt again!

I went to the hall and met up with Ness, she poor girl is suffering from hay fever. I get it in the evenings when the rain brings down the pollen, fortunately all I get are sneezing fits, she had swollen eyes and looked like she'd had a crying fit.

After the hall, where I stayed away from the puzzles, I went to see Sheila. Anna arrived with the twins, OMG they get cuter every time I see them.
