I had a long chat with my sister in law Sue, Tess and Sam's mum. She was telling me that a friend of hers is friendly with my ex husband. His second wife died about 4 years ago and apparently she told Sue that he's got bad dementia and has carers going in 3 times a day and may have to go into residential care as he's so bad. I don't wish it on anyone but it made me think if we'd still been together I'd be coping with that. I shouldn't say this but it makes me feel a bit like I dodged a bullet. I have to say I was surprised his brother didn't tell me when I saw him just before Christmas, maybe he didn't like to.

I'm getting on with the Old Mill puzzle, I've done the edges and about half of the middle, I won't have time tomorrow but hopefully will get on with the rest of it on Sunday.

Hi Janet, it's almost 12 and I've not been home long. It's Adam's birthday and Tess had us all round for dinner. Henry was super excited, oh to be nearly 8 and all that energy. We had a great time playing 'the game' and the children all had more sweets than was good for them, that's what happens when the 'bad' auntie organizes it. LOL It did mean a 40 minute drive home on roads with no pavements or lights and out where Tessa lives they're so narrow I dread meeting someone coming in the opposite direction. Fortunately tonight I got to the main road with seeing a soul. I would add even the main road has very little lighting. I'm just pleased to be home safe and sound.

Tomorrow I'm meeting Ness so once I've done your little message I shall be off to bed.

I did dust through this morning and went to get the local paper then spent a while wrapping 26 prizes for the game. Needless to say it rained again.
