I've had a very busy day wrapping presents for the convent. I must have done about 50 which includes those for Sue's birthday which is just after Christmas. It's such a relief to have them finished so I can take them Thursday when I go and collect her for a day out. Now I can start on the rest, mostly for my aunt. I know she's getting the nail file but I also tend to give her several small things, including turkish delight, nougat and a few books plus anything else I see that I think she'll like. She doesn't go as far as she once did and has more time to read and watch DVD's of old films. I found copies of South Pacific, The king and I and Oklahoma plus an old Doris Day movie which I've put somewhere so safe I can't find!!

Maybe tomorrow I'll make a start writing the Christmas cards, as I have about 75 or so to send, it's amazing how long it all takes.

I have been listening to a book while I was doing it so will now need to visit the library to get another to see me through the next task!!

Hi Janet, I hope the Aleve is doing its job and you're not feeling too bad. I'm definitely on the mend and the cough only woke me up once last night which felt almost like a miracle!

Daryn was about today, I saw him walk past my window with Ted, Kath's little dog however he must have gone out again because when I went to empty the bins his car had gone so maybe they're spending another week at hers?? I don't mind but find it interesting, I'm turning into a nosy neighbour.

I'm thinking if Alan doesn't come tomorrow, and slight rain is forecast, I'll give him a call, I really would like him to sort the garden for the winter.

Happy Sunday,Janet. There are so many memories packed up with all of our Christmas decorations. I love taking them up from the basement and looking through the boxes even though I know what’s in there. I’m convinced it’s the twinkling of the Christmas lights that puts me in the mood. We’ve had our kitchen tree up since September and I absolutely love it. I usually take it down with the rest of the decorations on New Year’s Day but I’m thinking about leaving it up all year and just changing the topper to match the holiday. I found a cute red heart tree topper that I’m going to get and put up for Valentine’s Day. It’s cold and snowy this morning and very windy…30 degrees when I got up. We have the kids coming over for pizza and wings tonight and we are going to take their picture in front of our fireplace in their matching Christmas jammies. We use that picture for our Christmas card. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend 💜
