Tomorrow I'm out earlyish to get a shoe rack for Sheila from Lidl in their Sunday specials. She seems to find something most weeks, not that I mind as they do have some interesting bits. Not sure if I said but the girls looked really sweet in their pink dresses and even Anna, their mum, liked them. Who knows there may be something there that I can't live without!!

I should have mentioned the new car is really smart, don't ask I have no idea what make it is, but it's black with a orangey roof. Very technical. Hahaha It's an automatic and she's not had one of those before and says she keeps trying to change gear when there are none. Still she likes it which is the most important thing.

I searched the whole of the garden without luck and thought I'd best check under the trees at the top of the bank and there he sat looking so innocent. They say tortoises are slow, this one must be related to an Olympic runner, he cleared the length of my garden, climbed the bank and made himself comfortable under the trees in 10 minutes. I'm turning grey with the worry.  LOLOL  Think of me tomorrow first thing in my PJs checking to see where he's hiding before I feed the birds.

I'm glad I found him as Dawn phoned about an hour later to see if everything was OK. She also said that Wyn, his 91 year old mum, has decided to let him live with her gardener. I'm thinking she's not had him for a couple of days and has realised what it's like not to have the worry of caring for him. Plus if the gardener takes him she'll have constant updates and pictures of how he's doing.

Hi Janet, it's been warmer today 58 with some sunshine. I met Ness at the hall but there were no new puzzles so fortunately the heap hasn't grown.

I had lunch with Sheila and and came home at 3 to check on my lodger. I found him sunning himself on the sandy bank. Obviously a tortoise special place, Tank loved it on there too. I think it catches more sun than anywhere else in the garden. I brought him down to the grass in the garden had a chat with him while feeding him tomatoes. He liked that until I remembered I needed to post a birthday card to my cousin Stuart. As I was getting in the car to go Daryn came home and we had a short chat then off I went, posted the card, came home and went to check on Tommy and it was like a magic trick he'd disappeared. Tank could do that and I never worried as he always turned up a few hours later but this time I couldn't believe a tortoise could vanish in 10 minutes.
