I heading for an early night so I can be up and get a little shopping done before Alan comes...if he comes.

Tomorrow I need to sort out a couple of birthday cards and find out from Tessa what Joshua would like for his at the end of the month. I rather think it will be a monetary donation. LOLOL

I did get the slippers but they were not as nice as on the advert but they were very cheap and they'll do for wandering around the house when I'm alone!

I did some of the puzzle this afternoon and have no idea yet what I'm working on...the beauty of  wasjigs!!!

I loved the gingerbread house so can't wait to see what you do with the new one. 

Like you I'm going to start some weeding, Alan will be busy taking up the shrubs and a fern that sprouted up beside the conservatory, so if the weather gets better I'll make a start.

The pool seems to be taking a time to do, I suppose Christmas and the bad weather have made it difficult, Randy will be pleased when they go away.

Hi Janet it was really cold this morning, I had to break the ice on the bird bath. They're saying that tonight it's going to get much milder and should be the first night it will be frost free since before Christmas. We've had rain on and off all day so I'm now wondering if Alan will come tomorrow, I've not had a phone call so I'll have to wait and see.

I cleaned the bathroom and found the metal plug thing in the sink will no longer go down to seal the water in, goodness knows what I've done to it but I'm too scared to try and force it or it may get stuck then I won't be able to use the sink. I probably shouldn't have but I put some WD40 down it, it's a fine oil which works on locks and things so I figured why not give it a try. If it doesn't work I'll need to find a plumber. It seems to be one thing after another. I suppose I could ask Alan if he turns up, or maybe not he's a bit rough!!
