Tomorrow I'll need to get some bird seed my pigeons they're looking hungry! I'll also get a lottery ticket for Saturday. I had one yesterday that won me about $120 which was unexpected but nice, Sheila was impressed it's the most I've won on them in years.

I'm keeping everything crossed that you actually get to see the dermatologist this time.

He's doing Ok but can't understand why they keep coming round to check on him. Sheila reckons he's never been in hospital so he had no idea how many visits you get from nurses checking pulses, temperatures etc, doctors who come and 'look' at you, people with cups of tea and coffee wandering through, and the lady with the trolly that has newspapers and sweets etc. Then there's the person who comes to collect your food request for the next day followed by lunch delivery, in other words it never stops. Poor Guy he's finding that hospital can be exhausting.

Sue and I had a wander round 3 of the best charity shops, she bought a book, and I bought her a new hat lined with a thermal material to keep her ears warm! I also bought one for the other nun as a little Christmas gift. Sue has no idea what she'd like for Christmas so I promised to phone in a couple of weeks to give her time to think. I hope she comes up with something as she's not keen on a gift token, she just loves to open a present. I'll find a few small things like chocolate, which she loves so she'll have a few unknown things to open.

Hi Janet, we've had a lovely sunny day without too much wind so it felt mild. I picked Sue up and brought her over to Lowestoft then dropped her across the road from my friend Sheila where she visits Sylvia an old friend. Sheila was OK and said that Anna was going to pick her up to do some shopping later in the day and she, Anna, would also be going to see Guy this afternoon. I asked Sheila if she wanted to go but since Anna was going she said no, so I suggested maybe tomorrow but she wasn't keen. I said to phone me in the morning but to be honest I don't think she will go. Sheila's one of these people who has what we call here 'white coat syndrome', she's absolutely terrified of doctors, dentists, hospitals, anything medical. I'm amazed that she goes for her flu and covid vaccines but that's probably because she only sees a nurse and she knows she'll be in and out in moments. I won't push her as Anna is visiting daily but if she can't get a baby sitter Sheila may feel she has to go.
