Morning Mary x Another start to a new week, it's bright and sunny here in the U.K, my cat Poppy-Vespurr is laying on the windowsill in the sunshine, her fur sparkles in the light, she is a Bengal. Had a busy day yesterday, hubby decided to cut, chop all our Jasmine down off the fence outside our back, most of it had died and it did look pretty unsightly, hard work in the heat, then we went on the Bungy run, a drive of around 50 miles that takes about an hour, did a shop in Morrisons and came home to cook dinner, watched tv in the evening, who wants to be a millionaire and the 3rd part of a true drama series called Believe Me, was sad to hear of the passing of Dennis Loccoriere on my Birthday, I saw him in Dr Hook back in the day and his one man show at the Marina Theatre with my mum, who absolutely loved him x x

Cable theft off the poles isn't something new here. it happens more often than you would think. several thieves have died by electrocution trying to cut live cables.... it's the copper they are after. the sell it to use the money for drugs. so yes i guess when the electricity is down it is easier pickings for them. like leaving a child in a candy shop.
Crime this side isn't so petty. more often than not if you have a break in it is accompanied by assault, sometimes worse. as much as i adore my fur babies, they literally are part of my security team. A Rottie is known to aggressively protect their pack.
agh enough of that drama - today i am off to help my friend unpack boxes. Her new home is finally built and the stuff arrived out of storage this weekend. Shame she was so overwhelmed, so i offered to go today to help her unpack.  It can be pretty daunting at our age i guess. but we will make quick work of it and chat the time away i am sure.
