You sound as though you've had it far worse than we have! We had snow for the first two/two and a half days with no freeze; after that whatever snow fall we had was immediately washed away and the temperatures crept up to between 2/3 so again, we were lucky enough to get away with no icy conditions which I'm very grateful for. You take extra care when you're out with the dog (did you know you can get grips for your shoes? They work brilliantly - just don't walk with them on on anything that's not ice!!!!!).
