Yes you do have quite a range there too! Where I live we don't often get over 35C but the humidity makes it a "feel like" temperature of over 40C!  Where my mom lives it can get to 48C but it's a dry heat to that almost feels cooler than here.  But it sounds like you have the best of both worlds with mountains AND an ocean!  We have farm fields and forests in my area but I find beauty in the fields :)
Hope you got everyone in your car ok!  I have a smallish car so I know how tight a fit that can be! Hope you had fun and enjoyed your sushi!
