Good morning Mo g,,,, rained during the night,,, but dry now,,, it actually woke me up, pelting on the glass,,,
I should do what you do for Christmas Day,, sounds so much better then a Turkey dinner,,, might do it next year,,,,
You’re right about the Royal Mail,,, I sent a parcel off last Friday lunch time and it was delivered sat morn,,, spoke to the cashier about how the post office is not as busy nowadays,, as people don’t tend to send cards etc,,, she told me people come in and buy loads of stamps,, and the post box outside has to be emptied at least 3 times a day,,,, if you spent the day in our town,,, you would see that the box must be half empty,, you working in the post office,,, long queues especially end of month with Car tax,,,, stamps brought for gas/phone,,, cards sent,, bills paid, pensions picked up etc,,,,, postman called twice a day,,, and the lead up to Christmas my Aunt worked as a part time postwoman delivering Christmas mail,,,,, and this cashier tells me, they are busy,,,, yeah right,,,,, would love to go back to those days,,,
