He's a real sweetie, a poor old fella now though, he doesn't look it because of his long coat but he's all skin and bones despite having a healthy appetite still and he plods along, doesn't leave the back garden when he goes out for a little potter around. I have a feeling this will have been our last Christmas but we'll see, he'll let us know when he's ready. It's so hard isn't it? When we adopted Flame and his litter mate Cullen we already have five cats and a dog, he's the only one still with us. It's nice that you can still find pleasure from seeing other people out with their dogs - how many do you stop and fuss 🤣🤣

As I was soaring in the sky
      A beautiful garden caught my eye
      I fluttered down without a sound
      and couldn't believe what I had found
      Flowers so pretty and food for the mice
      I stayed for while, it was so nice

Hi Mary! No, Flame's not really the boss, he's too sweet natured. We got Ebony when she was about three or four months old (breeder held onto her because her mum accidentally broke her back leg when she rolled over on her in their box) and Misha six months later, he was 9/10 weeks old I think. Even as babies, when they didn't know how to be gentle, he never hissed or spat at them, never took a swipe at them. If anything, he looks to them for love. He was a rescue from Cats Protection and we had Bud then. Bud was our rescue Retriever and the gentlest soul ever. Flame adopted Bud as his mum and I think he still looks for that in the puplets. But no, he definitely doesn't boss them around ❤️
