Yes so much easier to keep clean. not sure what type of mop you have maybe one of those rectangle ops witht he removable cloths you wet and you can get them with a small spray bottle on them sprey floor and just mop, i would use it very wet.  i have one here, you can get them at woollies or bunnings, you fill the bottle with water and i put a few drops of lemon myrtle eucalyptus oil that i buy at woolies in the medicine section, and i do my floors here with that in between Mikayla coming do full mop Mondays. I have tiles in the rental they are a pain in the butt!!
I wont be putting any rugs on our floors it be just the furniture on the floors.. and of course the bedrooms and 1 lounge room has carpet.
