Good morning splash-- It is 0 but can't see anything for snow and more snow--Its a school holiday(unplanned) aas that snow is really coming down fast and visability is about nil. I am really glad that I do not have to venture out of the building--I will not even try to get the garbage down until its all cleaned up around the buildings. Good thing you didn't really need groceries I guess,when I lived in the country we were always stocked ahead of time just in case we got days like this but living in town people seem to be able to get out and around. My fruit loaves are done and all but one is in the freezer(kept one out for tea this afternoon) and not sure if I really like all this fuss and baking but each of the kids and grandkids have a favorite thing that they all ask for. Tried teaching them all how to make things but of course--it tastes better when mom makes it.Have a good day and I hope you got the freezer done.

Hello Ed, almost got the back bedroom ready. I found my Grandmother's musical Christmas Angel and it is now on display. When Nana was in care she wanted a musical baby doll like her mother had in her last years.  The Angel was the best that we could find at the time. Nana was happy. Also found an 18 inch Christmas Tree made out of felted wool that a student teacher gifted to me years ago. It is quite lovely  and hasn't been on display for years. It is now in my lounge room. Will Sausage have any more cake stalls before Christmas? An old friend of mine has been travelling solo Europe and is now in the UK. She sends a daily blog, a history lesson. Cheryl, my friend, as well as visiting historical sites is enjoying the various Christmas markets in each town that she visits. Re. The Monday Morning Coffee Club. It is wonderful that we are growing. When I went for  my morning coffee I noticed that Frank, the owner was looking anxious. Abby, one of his lovely staff was also distracted. Then a chap came in and Frank took him out the back. Abby  told me that he is an Health and Safety Inspecter. No wonder that I could feel the tension in the air. I hope it went well for them.

Hello Ed, TY for the Mallard. Fresh scones, how wonderful! I looked in the Supermarket this morning to see if they have an Elf. No. If there isn't one at the OP shop on Friday I will have to go to Rosebud where I am fiarly sure that I will find one. Sorted through the gifts that I have already purchased for the grandchildren. I now have a list of what needs to be purchased. We stopped buying gifts for the adults a few years ago. For awhile we did Silly Santa. Have you heard of that? It was fun. However the family having expanded we hardly all get together at the same time now. I am preparing the back bedroom for Shannon and his family's arrival on Monday. It is a larger room than my bedroom so happily I can stay in my bedroom for a few more weeks. After New Year I may have to go into the Harry Potter room. Enjoy your day.

Morning splash--it is only -10 this morning but no sun. Yes the elf on the shelf is the naughty one and was the rage a few years back but I think it is less discrimatory that the black Peter . I am busy busy busy trying to get stuff boxed and wrapped and do a little baking and not forget it and burn things. I can set the timer but that only turns the heat off and things continue to cook/bake if I don't hear it and leave things in there, Got to try and get the fruit loafs all done today(no nurse so don't have that interruption at least. Still don't seem to be able to catch anyone in the know down stairs or they have been told not to say anything. I think I will just forget them and carry on for a bit as I have a lot to still get done--trying to clear everything away so I will know what I need to make a trip out for.
