HAPPY NEW MONTH SPLASH-- YELLOW WAGTAIL AND PINK TY I is just dull this morning but March sure went out with a bang--a lot of bangs actually as we had another storm about suppertime yesterday.We got to 20 yesterday and this morning is only 2 with some cold stuff for the long Easter weekend. But we have nothing going on so its okay.Kevin is going to come over tomorrow after work and I will get anything I need and then just hibernate for the long cold weekend.Didn't get my shower yesterday seen as there was no hot water so will try again for Fri when my nurse comes and hope for the best. Hope the beer bottling goes well and have a good day When do the cats go home??

Hello ED, almost bedtime for me. Not sure what book to read? Leaning towards the Mirriam Margoyle memoir although she really is naughty and sometimes I cringe at her language. When she went to Cambridge she was involved with a Theatre group that comprised of John Cleese and most of the yet to be Monty Python crew. They all shunned her and wouldn't speak to her backstage. That made me feel sad as I love them all. Well it is Goodnight from me. Enjoy your day as much as you can. HUGS

Hello ED, I have been clearing children's toys such as a toy kitchen and equipment, our side toy work bench and a large basket of toys. I ill slowly take it all to the Op shop. I checked with my children I they were OK about me getting rid of it all. They are. I still have lots of Lego, board games and outside toys for the Grandchildren to play with and of course a large wild garden an∂ a beach. Re. Mum, she is very happy at the respite hospital. Not sure how long she will be there? She does miss her retirement village and her friends. At her age who knows? I naturally just want her to be happy.
Oh and cat food dishes on the beds? That is not good. I am sure that the cats love it. Luxury accommodation. A million ideas are running through my head however I am not sure how helpful they will be for you? You are certainly a good husband and carer. Perhaps next year Tracy may have to find another accommodation for her cats? I know that wasn't helpful for you at the moment. Enjoy your brewing and sending HUGS.

Morning splash-- pair of lovebirds ty It is just very wet looking out this morning but at 4am it was very loud,noisy and bright as we had a large thunderstorm arrive for a good hour. That of course meant that Sagwa  was trying to get under me --not the nicest way to wake up.It was a real noisy big onewhich in a way was not a surprise as we got to 19 yesterday and I knew a cold front was headed our way. all is calm and quiet now of course and Sagwa is sound asleep and I am up and awake as I have many things to do. I am allowed to have a shower today before the nurse comes and I really need to get at and clean the freezer. Have a good day

Hello ED, no need to worry but TY. I found my way to Mum's Respite Hospital and had lovely afternoon with her. I managed not to get lost. A little bit tense when I arrrived and couldn't find a car space. Ended up parking in a disability space. I had my walking stick with me as I did not know how far I would have to walk and if steps were involved. I was buzzed in t the entrance and I immediatley told the receptioninst where I was parked nd pointed to my car. She said, "No Problems." Then she showed me how to sign in as a vistor. It was all digital even taking a photo of me and reading my temperature. Then she led me to Mum's room saying she was sorry but it was a bit of a walk. It was however not as far as I walk for my morning coffee. She spotted Mum in the Dining room chatting to a couple of ladies. "Your Mum will show the rest of the way. And Mum did. Her private room is lovely with an ensuite. Whilst we were sitting and chatting a care worker came in to do memory test for Mum. Whiklst that was happening my phone told me to get up and walk. I did and headed further down the corridor and soon discovered a small lounge with a large avairy with 2 birds happily chirping away. I then wandered back to Mum's room just as she was going to the loo so I stepped out again to give her some privacy. I noticed that her neighour directly across from her had a sign on the door alerting visitors and workers that there was a cat in the room and to be careful. CRICKET the cat with a photo. As I was standing there smiling at the sign a worker stopped and chatted to me. She told me that they have a number of residents with pets. Me, "Umm, how is the litter dealt with?" She told me that they have to be able to deal with it. I went back to Mum's room and told her about the birds and her opposite neighbour with the cat. Mum instantly responded, "How do they get rid of the litter?" I didn't have an answer. Mum passed the memory test and that didn't surprise me. I managed to find my reverse journey home without stress. Now it us bed time for me. Enjoy your day.
