Hello Ed, Ha ha, if Harry and Meghan walked past me in Rye and said Hello Dianne, I would certainly invite them to the Monday Morning Coffee Club. Glad that you have sorted out the alarm problem, however I will keep listening just in case! Leftover dinner, Paella,  reheated and mostly eaten. I wont be buying that one again. Pea and Ham soup cooked and in the fridge, now all I have to do is blend it and sort into freezer containers. It will be much better than the supermarket prepared frozen meals that I usually have after working at the 'Oppie' , another Aussie word. I will soon be in bed to read a book. Enjoy your day!

Hello Ed,  hope that you don't set the alarm off. I will be listening. Re. you friend Kev, well he did bring all his troubles on himself when he strayed. Yes some couples who split can live in the same house. Andrew and Fergie are prime examples! I didn't see Harry learning AFL but I am sure he enjoyed it. OH! And Collingwood had a win last night! Once again I didn't watch or listen to it. As usual I worked at the OP shop  this afternoon. It was impossible getting a car park behind the shop as a huge build is going on and there were so many huge trucks blocking our regular car parking spaces. So I had to park on the street and then keep moving my car to avoid parking fines which one of our volunteers got the other day. Where we usually park before this nearby appartment build is behind the 3 shops with dedicated parking spaces. No such luck as huge trucks always block us. Oh enough of my grizzles, I just had to get it off chest. Now for reheated leftovers for dinner. Enjoy your day from Grumpy Me!

Morning splash It is dull and wet again this morning but 16 so warm enough--think the crop of choice this year will be rice at this rate. My ultra sound went fine and if al the noise indicated good blood flow I am fine but good thing it was eearly in the day as there was a code black at the hospital last night--probably in emergency but I guess there was a gun  out somewhere in the hospital--the whole world has gone crazy. and it makes a person wonder if they should poke their nose out the door but even then they seem to get into everywhere. Today is work at home day trying to get caught up with all that I have not done and put off until tomorrow.Have a good day and don't work too hard.

Hello Ed, I had to bail out of the family meeting as my reunion went on longer than expected. Mum and my brothers understood. I trust them to get Mum's situation sorted. Youngest brother Michael told me that he had a list of questions and as his partner Tracy works high up for the company who are looking after Mum. I have faith that  Michael will inform me about the outcomes. I will visit Mum on Saturday and then she can quietly tell me her feelings about the meeting. Happily Mum opens up to me in a quiet space without other people around. The meeting today was in her bedroom. When my brothers told me about it the other day I was already thinking too many people in her room. I will look forward to our quiet chat when Mum processes all that was said. In the meantime I and seriously thinking bed. Enjoy your new day.

Hello Ed, it all made sense. I hope that Kevin and his wife can sort it out. But honestly what did he expect? I had a great day today. I met up at my coffee shop with my Mansfield friends this morning. Linda and her daughter, Daisy. I taught Linda's son Max and Linda also taught at the Steiner school. I haven't seen them for years. Our conversations lasted longer than the coffee. Linda and Daisy filled me in with news about all my Mansfield friends. Earlier in the conversation Linda asked me how I fill my days so I told her. Then also told her that my Sydney children want me to move there to live in a yet to built Granny Flat. As we were chatting a number of people came past and greeted me by name and the staff did the same. We were sitting outside and could hear the surf. Daisy was impressed that I live so close to a National Park. When it became time to part as they had a long drive ahead Linda hugged me and said that she could see how happy I am and that I shouldn't move. Interesting fact about Linda. Her Mother was one of the first Japanese brides to come to Australia aftere WW2. Linda's father was serving in the Australian Army. They met in Japan and fell in love. It was not easy to bring a war bride to Australia at the time due to the dreadful White Australia Policy. Cherry, Linda's mother lived in Hiroshima however by chance had moved a bit further inland when the bomb dropped. Linda's niece Ally Parker has written a book about that. "Under The Foot of the Cherry Tree." Fascinating story. I have met Cherry many times when she visited the school as Grandmother. Lovely lady. Oh I have been going on. I will leave this for now. Enjoy your day.
