Hello Ed, I have heard of Karl S.......? I think that he hosted a morning TV show. As I hardly ever watch TV during the day I do not know him. You seem to have a great day ahead of you with both lunch and dinner out. Will Tracey drive you? 100 degrees is certainly oppressive! I did drive to Mum's today and as usual had a lovely time chatting with her. I was happy to see that she is knitting again and sorting things. So pleased that she is active. I am now home and thinking about dinner. It will be a frozen meal. Night has fallen and I must get the cats inside. Wishing a cool change your way!

Morning splash-- mallard ty It is a little misty looking outside this morning but the sun is trying to break through and we are starting at 15. They say we are to get the super heat next week so will prepare for that . Glad to hear you got a calll from the doctor--it does ease things a bit when there is another ear to listen. Hopefully the pills will help and maybe even get some appetite back. I did get the garbage and recycling down but had to get sneaky as Sagwa was very comfortable luing right in front of the door. His stomach seems to rule his day so fed him his lunch and quick got the walker loaded and off I went down with everything--it was raining by then though!! Today should be a nurse and maybe I can get at a few more chores before I settle in on the golf. Yesterday I started off with the womens and then the Travellers(its a signature event so all the players are supposed to play in it)I hope you day goes smoothly and some day your heat will cool down. Have a good day

Hello Ed, I just read your post about hairdressing. You are becoming a man of many talents. That garden ornament I would put into the bin unless it is cherished. Re. Sandra not eating much, the heat is most likely causing that as it will for most of us. Is she drinking water? The heat that you are experiencing there sounds terrible. We get days like that in high Summer but nowadays most homes have A/C. Mind you, Thornbury did not have it until I installed it. Split air contraption that can provied heat or cooling. I had to look up the word 'quire' and it is a word although archaic. So choir and quire works. I hope that Sandra is OK after a fall? Hugs to you both! Niw it is time for me to go to bed and read a book without a flickering torch.

Hello ED, did I tell you about the electricity blackout here yesterday for works. The power came back on around 3? Then at 1/2 past 5 I got a phone message that it will go off again around 6. So I huriedly cooked dinner, lit candles and searched for torches. Only found 2 and one jammed as I was trying to put in new batteries. The power went off at 7 p.m. They only working torch that I had kept flickering despite putting in new batteries. All I could do was go to bed and try and read by the flickering torch. The power came back on at 11 p.m. Then I fell into a deep sleep despite being vaguely aware that there were still some lights on in the house. Today was a better day and I worked at the oppie. Always fun! Now home and I have leftovers to reheat for dinner. I am happy for you that the medical phone call went well. Did they speak to you as well as Sandra? HUGS.

Morning splash--It looks like the sun is trying to break through but so far pretty dull. I can just imagine your hair dressing skills,my husband never knew what to do with longer hair, when my shoulder was out of commission for a bit I did have something that looked like a pony tail that went through a cyclone.  I hope things are going better but sound like you have your hands full and its almost time for some organized help. It was sunny yesterday so managed to take a break and sit outside(no tea until Sept.) but another front came through and it chilled down quite quickly Today will be trying to catch up with some chores and get the garbage and recycling down with out my escape artist deciding to take up residence in the hall(but will keep the can habdy) I hope you can have a better day(can you like every one else I hear about not get your groceries delivered,at least that would save you a trip  and someone else can go through the cart checks. Have a good day
