Morning splash-- field mouse ty It is a nice sunny  start to the day and -5 and warming up/I know you would all think its coldbut not here (that is light jacket weather) One of these afternoons I guess I will need to get out on the balcony and see if I can do a little clean up but will be hard seen as I had those pigeons  making a home out there last year(Hope they caught them all and rehomed them a good distance away. I really tackled the apartment yesterday so this morning will just be puttering as I would not want to go to tea tired. Have a good day and yes I had autograph books.

Hello Ed, ty for the mouse.  Like Tracey I took in peoplE to stay in my Thornbury house. A former student and that was a disaster. My youngest brother and I eventually had to suggest that he should move on. At the same time I had a young German chap who was volunteering at the school rather than doing National Service. He was great and also had  time limit. I have no desire to invite peeps to stay with me now. Very happy on my own with family and friends dropping in to stay occaisionally. So Sandra wants a dog. Have you considered that it might be a good thing for her to have a companion dog? If it was a full time dog you would certainly have to look after it. Here sometimes people have companion dogs that visit hospitals and homes. Now I have finished my dinner and about to call the cats in. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, TY for the Mallard. My advice for Tracey re. retirement is to firstly find a local coffee shop and then greet people as you walk. Sometimes a dog will help. Not sure if she wants one however I always greet the dog coming towards me and then get to know the owners. A routine is essential. Next step is volunteering as you know that I have done this. I really could have done the same had I chosen to remain in Thornbury, inner suburb of Melbourne. There was a coffee shop around the corner that I often walked to and got to know regulars. And then for Tracey is finding something that she really wants to do and join a club. Retirement is a new way if living.

Morning splash--peace dove ty I am all set again--Son-in-law came over last night brought me a loaf of bread,a box of cat litter and put the new back rest strapon my walker.grandson came with him and fixed my tv(when I turned it off the other night must have hit a wrong button as it came on but was stuck on movie selections. Ryley also brought me the autographed puck from the playoff series they one--I do have a few weird things in my collections but they all have meaning. ) A few chores today and the nurse is due today too.Hope the food shop went well and you only got what you needed--they tell me I am only eating for one and should restrict my shopping. Hello ED, the cats and I are enjoying a quiet day. I did go to the supermarket and filled my car up with petrol as price hikes are predicted due to the war. That  cold of yours is certainly lingering. What are yoiu taking for it? Sarah messaged me earlier asking if she nd her family could come on the weekend as it is a long weekend. Morning splash-- Yes I did watch the collapse of Lowrey yesterday. The bear trap got him--two holes and he was down after leading by 3 but Ecavarria did pull it out with a good shot on 17. Soon we will have somemore competative golf. Not much happening here--sunny but -12 and cold warning out for later in the week but March is like a yo-yo here --up and down all over the place.
