Hello Ed, the word Mate is quite Aussie. Normally bestowed on men. Women usually get lovey or darl. It amuses me that the butcher calls me Mate. I do like to chat with him about the weather ect. Nothing serious. I will soon go to bed and I need to find a new book to read. I am thinking Peter Cook's biography, 'Sadly I Am An Only Twin.' It has sat in my books to be read pile for some years. I always enjoyed Peter Cook and Dudley Moore's show. Good Night from me.

Hello Ed, the exercises sound familiar. I wish that I did not get rid of that book of Brian's. Re. Mum. the eye injections were traumatic,as you can imagine,  and the doctor  finally decided to stop them as there was no improvement. I will suggest to Mum and my brothers re. a second opinion. I hope that you have a great day.

Hello ED, home again after visiting Mum. Once again a lovely time. I asked her about the knitting machine. She told that she didn't like it as it was too noisy and she prefers sitting and knitting whislt watching TV. She also didn't like it because it had to be set up in another room away from family watching TV. I am noticing more and more that her eyesight is failing her. Her optomoterist decided some weeks ago that she would no longer give Mum the needle in her eye. She still knits and knits beautifully following patterns. Today she closed the curtains duiring the fternoon and when I asked her why she said the sun's glare hurts her eyes. I have also noticed lately that when we sit across from each other at her small dining table she doesn't make eye contact. She tends to look down at her lap where her dog is usually sitting. That could be due to the sunlight coming in? Interested in your eye exercises. I seem to recall Brian having a book on vision and that had eye exercises in it. I no longer have the book. We do get Mrs. Brown here. Not sure if it is on free to air or pay TV. I have watched a few episodes. I love British comedy. 2 favourites of mine from long ago are, 'Steptoe and Son.' and 'The Rag Trade.' Enjoy your day.

Hi Ed
I think our exercise bike is in the garage too! We should put it in the shed.
Raining now. Not hard though. This is more my temperature, but I feel sorry for the children on school holidays.
Pizza on the way! Our Friday treat.
Have a nice evening

splashed--pp- ty It is a lovely sunny clear day of 19 and no smoke or humidity to be seen. I think with playoffs around the corner it might be a good idea to somehow get some tickets to the Jays game as soon as possible--unless of course you want to sit in the nosebleed area and watch a bunch of ants run around the field or watch the game on the Jumbotron.I think finally a good day weather wise here today and Kevin says he is getting off early today and will be over so I can get groceries. I was wrong--thought it was the beginning of the Fedex playoff this weekend but no--just all the ones trying to improve their standings or make the playoffs but not bad golf to watch so will do that this weekend and I think there is some womens golf on too.Have a good day, long weekend here so all except Kevin and I are up north near North Bay  camping for Rhonda's big family reunion(if you even know someone in the family you get an invite--something like the 80th or better)

Hello Ed, I have been working at the shop for a year now. Started working there after I moved out of Thornbury and settled into life at Rye full time. Happy with my life here. I have met so many interesting people. I do miss Jamieson but could never have looked after the property on my own. I don't miss Thornbury house. Just miss the neighbours. Dinner done, leftovers. Yesterday when I went shopping at the local supermarket I wanted to buy some eye fillet steak. I only go to the butcher there as I do not like packaged meat. The butcher was chopping away and looked up, "Be with you in a minute mate." He always calls me mate. I was happy to wait. He also knows that I like a good thick piece of eye fillet. Small offerings on the tray. I chose one and then he said, "Tell you what mate, I will toss in another one for free." and he did. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, me again,  I worked at the Charity shop this afternoon. They are finally listening to me re. placing the children's books with the adult books. YAY! Now to make it work by finding room. I have a few ideas. Once again it was an enjoyable afternoon chatting as we worked.  Yes we did say A Pinch and a Punch. As a teacher I could not allow it. Another strange thing the 1st of August is known as the Horses Birthday. I wonder why?  As is animals even know or care about birthdays. I asked Mungo and Mindy and they just stared at me. Have a great day.

Hello ED, I did worry. Pleased that your bank detected it. 2 GOLDEN RULES. Don't answer unknown calls and NEVER give your details to a caller or email message. I always phone the bank or whatever rather than responding. Scammers are quite clever nowadays and can make emails look like they from the real deal. So happy that I could help you. Enjoy your day.
