Morning splash-- We have nice bright blue skies and sunshine and going into the 20's. Tea went fine but not a great number attended,although 2 ladies who don't come often showed up. It was a nice break and quite often people going by the room pop in to say hi. I am going to phone today and see whats going on with my glasses as it is now over 2 weeks since they were sent away and its really beginning to bother me without them,Surprise Montreal is in Quebec and its almost forced on them to speak french, advertising can only be in french. Off to get my day started and get something done as golf starts today and most of the Ryder cup guys are using it as a warmup.

Hello Ed, dinner done and I watched the news. Wish that I had not. Depressing. On a lighter note? Cat's scratching posts do not seem to work. The cats ignore them and go for carpets and furniture. In my case it is my lounge room chairs. Mindy prefers to scratch on my cane washing baskets and I am OK with that. Mungo goes for my lounge room chairs and I am not Ok with that. The scratching usually indicates that they want to be outside. I must ask Diane in Canada what her cat Sagwa does as he is not allowed outside. Does Tracey allow her cats outside when they are home? I am now thinking of bed and finish reading my book. It is a Lee Child book about Jack Reacher. I am sure that you would not like it. Enjoy your day.

Hello ED, TY for the Golden Dragon. HAHA  I am not famous! As to what got me into acting. I loved it in High School. Never really got a good part. When I moved moved to Mansfield anf Sarah was in High school, Sarah wanted to join the local theatre group. As we lived out of town I would drive her to rehearsals and each play and sit quietly. I got to know all the people who were staging the musical. Then the next musical they were putting on was, 'My Fair Lady.' As Sarah was also in that I decided what the heck, I may as well try out rather than sitting each night in the audience and back stage. I became a part of the chorus. I loved it. Then I tried out for speaking roles in further productions. I wish that there was a theatre group here near Rye. Sadly not any. Now I must go and prepare dinner. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, re. my 'show biz' days. It was a local theatre group in Mansfield. I loved it! I think that the roll I loved best was Pearl in Ray Lawler's, 'Summer of the Seventeeth Doll.' Pearl was a barmaid. There was a scene where I had to pour a glass of beer from a bottle. We didn't use real beer in rehearsals and on opening night it was real beer. I do not drink beer and I had never poured it. As I was saying my lines and poring the beer I was horrified to see that I was filling the glass with froth. I quickly wrapped my hand around the glass to hide it. The next day Brian taught me to pour beer correctly. He was in the audience for the opening and had a quiet chuckle at my dilemma. Another favourite character that I played was Lady Catherine de Bourgh in Pride and Prejudice. I loved the scene where Lady Catherine was determined to make Elizabeth Bennett stay away from Mr. Darcy. As I was about to leave the stage I said in an haughty voice, "I take no leave if you, Miss Bennett. I send no compliments to your mother. You deserve no such attention. I am most seriously displeased."  I loved it.

Elche was very nice. Medium size town. A castle, parks, basilica. Shops.
Went to Torrevieja today, got on a land train that went to the salt lakes. Very interesting.

splashed--pygmy mouse ty. It is warmish at 15 this morning and foggy--a sure sign that fall is close and ther is even some early trees changing colour,9SUN JUST BROKE THROUGH SO MAYBE A DECENT DAY.  i DON'T THINK OUR MEDICAL SYSTEM IS MUCH BETTER--i AM JUST ONE OF THE LUCKY ONES THAT SEEM TO ATTRACK DOCTOR,OR AT  LEAST MOST OF THE TIME i CAN GET INTO SEE THEM FAIRLY QUICKLY.  Austism seems to be a funny disease,it manifests itself in somany various ways, from total exclusion to just being sort of shy but most are over intelligent and apparently its something that can't be pushed. No reall known cause but its got to be the lifestyle now as there is so many of they(all the processed food!!) Yes teaa this afternoon so we shall see how it goes,will be nice to see people again. Hello Ed, dinner done and cats in. Do Tracey's cats usually sleep with Sandra? As I approached my library a moment ago I found Mindy quite snuggled on my desk chair. I am tired and unusually for me I shooshed her off. I usually sit on a harder chair so has not to disturb her. "Sorry Mindy." Re. the painting  of the Mad Hatter I might find some a space in the Harry Potter room. It would be perfect for there as I have many of of my framed photos re. the stage plays that I was in when I lived in Jamieson / Mansfield. I told the artist that I have a photo of myself as Alice and a local Doctor who played the Mad Hatter in a MMuDS production. I think that I am the oldest actress to portray Alice. And even stranger the producer of the play, who asked me to be Alice, just happens to be in an artist residence nearby and she now lives in Queensland. Hmmm! I think that I will make an offer on the painting. Now I must go to bed and think about it all. Enjoy your day.

Hello Ed, TY for the mouse. Cats and I survived the lockdown yesterday. Haha as you said it does make them MOODY. Once night fell they knew that there was no point in nagging me. When I went to bed last night unusually Mungo did not join me. I guess that he was having a snit trying to show me that he did not approve of the lockdown. He did eventually join me as I had turned the heating off. All normal today. I went to the Art Group and had a lovely time. The people there are so welcoming. I did some of my paint by numbers and then serched through their books for an image of the Cheshire cat. The group is having an Alice in Wonderland exhibition soon. I will not have anything ready for that however it did inspire me and I made a sketch of the Cheshire cat. One of the artists is creating an amazing painting of the Mad Hatter. I would love to purchase it. I have to restrain myself as I have far too many paintings on my walls. Enjoy your day.
